PAY CONTINUATION ORDERS FOR VARIOUS POSTS IN SCHOOL EDUCATION:

The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary School Vocational
Teachers Kazhagam has requested the State government to convert the
1,880 temporary posts of computer instructors in the government,
municipal and Corporation higher secondary schools in Tamil Nadu into
permanent posts.
S.N. Janardhanan, State general
secretary of the association said in a release that the government, by
its order dated September 12, 2012 has allowed the continuation of the
temporary posts with effect from July 1, 2012 to December 31, 2013.
Besides,
the Director of School Education has issued pay continuation orders for
the 680 temporary posts of Vocational Instructors Grade-1for a period
of three months from October 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 pending the
government orders which are awaited.
The association urged the government to convert all these temporary posts into permanent posts.
The
association also pleaded for the immediate framing of service rules for
vocational education, implementation of the order granting Rs.5,400 as
selection grade pay for the vocational teachers of higher secondary
schools who are drawing the salary of graduate teachers, promotion as
headmasters, incentive increment to all vocational teachers who have
acquired postgraduate qualifications in different subjects and the issue
of one-mark question books to vocational students for the three
subjects including accountancy and auditing.
